Steven Carr - Internet Developer
Since 1997, Steven Carr has been in the Internet domain development and marketing business. With a background in technical and Real Estate sales, Steven recognized domain names were the Real Estate of the new millennium.
As one of the original investors in Clearsail Communications and serving as their VP-Operations, Carr realized the value and potential of generic ".com" domain names for future business marketing application.
Having initially purchased thousands of domain names in 97-98, Carr began monitoring"generic" traffic to the domains, ie... Internet users typing in the actual domain name vs. using a search engine. Since then, his collection of domains has increased as the traffic to this type of domain has grown with the exponential growth of the Internet.
In 2000, Steven left Clearsail to pursue growth in the "Job Board" industry. HoustonJOBS.com was the first flagship site, followed by SeattleJOBS, PhoenixJOBS.com, AustinJOBS.com, ChicagoJOBS.com, PittsburghJOBS.com and many others. In recent years, he sold most of the job boards outside of Texas and focused on the Houston and Austin markets.
Today, he and his wife work to develop new domains and manage those developed.
